• Artist's Statement

    Formal qualities such as color relationships, linearity that is descriptive but furtive, and textural and surface facts that create the fiction of the image are the means to a never ending end-- the infinite connotations of form.

    My competing tendencies towards simplicity and extravagance have made contradiction itself a prevalent theme.

    History, geography, and portraiture are also occasional concerns.

    I like picture making.
